InfoPath from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010

SharePoint Migration
Sharepoint Migration

Past period, we have various migrations. Here we have also used third-party programs, such as Share Gate. But when migrating InfoPath forms not fully published. This means that the data is present but the templates they are based on are not correctly migrated. Here it is necessary so to adjust manually.

The situation

Microsoft InfoPath forms are created by using InfoPath 2007. The forms are published as Managed forms via Sharepoint Central Admin. To publish the forms again, we need first to download the forms. If we look at in Sharepoint Central Admin Manage Form Templates we have no possibility to download it. But as befits the Sharepoint is there somewhere a list or library where the forms are stored.

Open the browser and surf to the URL below. Where <sitecollection>should the sitecollection placed where the original forms are located.</sitecollection>

<sitecollection>/FormServerTemplates/Forms/All%20Forms.aspx</sitecollection> http://

InfoPath forms can be downloaded here using send to > download a copy. Once the form has been downloaded open it in design mode of InfoPath 2010 or 2013.

Then, after the form is open to file form options or File > > Form options. The form options window/Form options. Then click compatibility/Compatibilty. Enter the validation in Server/Server Validation Web service for the sitecolletie.

<sitecollection>/_vti_bin/FormsServices.asmx</sitecollection> http://

You're not sure whether the Web service works open the browser and enter the Web service in. The screen below is to be visible.

If the Web service has been adjusted click OK.

Then go to the Data tab and click Data Connections. Only here the data connections that apply. As soon as they are ready click Close/Close.

Then click file/File and go to Publish/Publish. Click here on SharePoint Server.

The publication wizard appears. At a location in the site collection where the form is or should be.

http://<sitecollection>/</sitecollection>

As indicated above, the administrator still to give approval to use the form. Holds the name of the form equal to the name it in the old SharePoint environment.

The whole wizard we will discuss here. In mind the place where the form is stored for publication to the SharePoint server. Go through all the steps of the wizard and publish the form.

Go to Centeral Administration of SharePoint.

<CentralAdmin>/_admin/manageformtemplates.aspx</CentralAdmin> http://

Click on Upload form template. Go to saved form, select and click OK. Then click on Upload. Then click OK. The form is installed. Then we need to activate the form to the site collection. Right click the triangle for the screen below. Choose Acitvate to a Site Collection

Then choose the appropriate site collection where the form should be published.

Then click OK.

Now, see if the form is opened and or already completed forms become visible.
